After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Introduction

Today in the Ninjalane labs we will be reviewing the new Thermaltake Litepower 450watt WO293 PSU. As most of you know Thermaltake has several levels of consumer power supplies and the level targeted at the Entry level consumer is the Litepower.  These PSUs are less expensive than the higher end modules, feature considerably less power, and are perfect for those looking to replace an existing PSU or add more power to an existing build.
The TT Litepower 450 is rated at an impressive 85% efficiency and proudly displays the 80+ label to reaffirm its quality construction.  The PSU features a single 120mm fan, Supports dual and quad core systems on both Intel and AMD platforms and is ATX 12V 2.3 compliant.
Inside the box you will find the TT Litepower 450 tightly fitted to avoid damage and comes bubble wrapped for protection.  The non-modular cables come neatly bundled with a re-usable Velcro strap.

The accessory package is slim consisting of just the screws and a manual but for a PSU of this caliber you do not need much more.

See below or consult the Thermaltake website for a complete list of specs related to the Litepower 450W PSU.
