  • SilverStone Temjin TJ05S-TW Review @ InsaneTek

Published: Monday, March 28, 2005 | By: Dennis

Now that is Insane, a company listening to reviewers and actually doing what they suggested?? OMG perish the thought. wink smile
" We recently reviewed the SilverStone TJ05B case, which unfortunately had some design problems. SilverStone has made revisions since then and let us revisit the case. This time they sent a TJ05S-TW, which is silver and comes with a window and thermal controller."
The thing that gets me is when I've made suggestions to companies in the past but rarely get a "hey thanks for the suggestion" even when my suggestion makes it into a working product..

  • 2 Reviews From Xtreme Resources

It's not uncommon to get more than one review from a site but these two came in almost at the same time.

    - Chaintech 6600 GT SE6600G PCI Express
    - DFI LanParty UT nF4 Ultra-D

I'm still waiting for my DFI nF4 board, but I'm not holding my breath since I've been told the chipsets are in tight supply.

It is a well documented fact that keyboards are the device most individuals use to input new data into a computer. Given that fact we bring you a keyboard that does more than just allow you to type.

  • Gigabyte First to Market

It would seem that Gigabyte is the first company to have an SLI board on the market using the nForce4 SLI Intel Edition chipset. If anyone can translate do send the gist of the text over. wink smile

  • Abit Fatal1ty AN8 @ InsaneTek

Published: Thursday, March 24, 2005 | By: Dennis

When Abit first announced the Fatal1ty series of gaming hardware I was a little skeptical, the initial revisions were just rebranded Abit products with a red and black color scheme. And while basic motherboard offering hasn’t changed much the entire package has. I’m almost upset we didn’t follow this change more closely, almost. tongue smile
"The most attractive part of the motherboard is the fiery red PCB paired with the red LED's. Gamers like to have modded cases and windows to show off internal parts of the system. The motherboard LED's add to the overall effect. Its glow is nothing like a mod you can do inside a case. Pair it with the Corsair Xpert or Crucial Ballistix Tracer memory and you'll have one dazzling gaming system."
Now this is something I would love to see in person. big grin smile

  • XFX geFORCE 6600GT AGP Review @ Futurelooks

Published: Wednesday, March 23, 2005 | By: Dennis

XFX does get some pretty bitchin props from the crew here at Ninjalane and to be honest it's the attention to detail that really makes the company stand out.
"Actually, I'd like to talk about the box first. XFX gets huge props for creating a truly unique packaging experience. Shaped like an "X", the box is colourful, and contains all the information that a consumer needs to know about what's inside. Flipping it over, the box gives you a quick tease of the contents through a window."

Price is usually not something we discuss here at Ninjalane but every once in awhile a really fugly board comes along that just screams. "Hey whats up?"
"The Box is pretty generic and has nothing of value to note. It comes in a flat color as opposed to being glossy. Opening the box reveals a pile of cables and the all important instruction manual. Underneath the cardboard divider is the motherboard itself."

  • AeroCool AeroEngine Jr Review @ Xtreme Resources

Published: Wednesday, March 23, 2005 | By: Dennis

There are some pretty crazy cases out there and this is just one of them. happy smile
"When the system is powered on, the LED fans make a nice visual effect inside and at the front of the case. Unfortunately, pictures do not make justice at all since the camera flash cancels out most of the fan lighting, but they will give you an average idea of the effect."
As I always say, the best case is one you built yourself.

  • Great Xbox Accessory

Published: Wednesday, March 23, 2005 | By: Dennis

Avid PC gamers have typically had problems playing FPS games on a console system. Mostly due to the fact they have gotten accustomed to controlling the game via a keyboard and mouse. Well it would seem that this has changed for the Xbox with the introduction of the SmartJoy FRAG.

  • Repairing your WaterChill Radiator

Published: Wednesday, March 23, 2005 | By: Dennis

A concern I had with the first waterchill we reviewed was the length of the screws and how if you went thru the fan into the radiator you could easily puncture the core. So instead of using the long screws I opted for the shorter ones and all was well.
"Recently one of our forum members did just that with his Waterchill branded rad, after discussion on the forum I offered to repair it for him. The following is the process for repairing this mistake and restoring your rad to perfect working order."
The new kit we just reviewed included screws that were the perfect length.
