ABIT IC7-MAX3 S478 Motherboard Review @ Accelnation
Published: Wednesday, June 2, 2004 | By: DennisAbit IC7-MAX3 was probably the most highly rated P4 motherboard ever released. It received (and still does) rave reviews all over internet because of it's great performance and extensive list of features. Here is another review that proves just that.
"Abit has always been known for producing enthusiast level motherboards. With each new generation of chipset and processor Abit was there with a high performance and extremely tweakable motherboard. Approximately two years ago Abit launched a line of motherboards that were aimed at the enthusiast that wanted maximal tweakability and performance. These high-end boards carried the “MAX” moniker. The first “MAX” board to come out was a KT333 based solution followed by 845E, 845PE, and KT400 solutions." -
Sapphire Radeon X800 PRO Review @ Beyond3D
Published: Wednesday, June 2, 2004 | By: DennisSapphire made it's name with their high quality video cards and affordable prices. One of their most popular video card was based on ATI's Radeon 9800 Pro chipsets. Can X800 Pro be the next best seller? Check out this review and find out.
"The board is more or less the same as the ATI reference X800 PRO, using the same PCB design and the reference cooler. This particular version doesn't feature any video in functionality, hence there is no Rage Theater chip on the board, or is there the internal VIVO connector as seen on the ATI reference boards (next to the internal power supply connector. The only other differences noticeable are the purple power supply connector and a different sticker on the heat-sink!" -

"If you've been holding out on the Athlon 64, particularly the more consumer based Socket 754 version, the K8N Neo Platinum is as good a reason as any to jump on board now. With the great performance, stability and system level firewall, you won't be disappointed with it." -

The plan was to show up a few days early and take in some sights and then spend the rest of the time at Computex. Some may not thing this is the best way to spend a honeymoon but she seems pretty excited so I figured what the heck. -

ATI RADEON X800 XT vs. NVIDIA GeForce 6800 @ Digit-Life
Published: Friday, May 28, 2004 | By: DennisHere is some more on the battle of the titans - ATI's X800 XT and nVidia's Geforce 6800. Digit-Life also takes a look at the newest nVidia drivers and how they improve or decline both the speed and the picture quality in games, as well as benchmarks through their extensive list of testing.
"Older tests proved that all new accelerators depended greatly on the CPU and system performance in general and were limited by them even at maximal AA and anisotropy loads. So the moral is: even if there are people who are ready to pay a lot for a superaccelerator so that they can play their favourite old games, they will have to update their whole systems; otherwise, their acquisition will be of little use."
