Windows PE (XP Preinstallation Environment)
Published: Wednesday, July 31, 2002 | By: DennisSetting up an OS can be a really long and involved process but with the help of a WinPE disk the installation of WindowsXP can be streamlined somewhat.
"As Microsoft states: "Windows Preinstallation Environment (WinPE) is a minimal Win32 subsystem with limited services, based on the Windows XP Professional kernel running in protected mode. It contains the minimal functionality you need to run Windows Setup, pull an operating system from a network share, automate basic processes, and perform hardware validation.""
Of course it wouldn't be a Microsoft product without some limitations. -

4 Day Dos on RIAA.org
Published: Tuesday, July 30, 2002 | By: DennisThe DOS came shortly after the group endorsed legislation to allow copyright holders to disrupt peer-to-peer networks.
When asked about the DOS some guy over there had this to say.
" "Don't they have something better to do during the summer than hack our site?" asked the RIAA representative, who asked not to be identified. "Perhaps it at least took 10 minutes away from stealing music.""
So not only are they fighting for the wrong side but they are naive as well. -
