Kingston HyperX PC3200 Review @ Furioustech
Published: Monday, July 7, 2003 | By: DennisWith dual channel memory controllers hitting retail shelves it is pretty important that you have some good memory to go with it. Personally I like the Corsair brand but others abound like Muskin, Geil and Kingston. Furioustech has a short review up on the HyperX PC3200 memory. This memory has the same timings as the Corsair TwinX that we recently reviewed and features a fancy blue heatspreader.

Pentium 4 3.0C 800FSB Processor Review @ Tweaknews
Published: Thursday, July 3, 2003 | By: DennisWhen I was ramping up to do the Abit IS7 Review there was only a single option in the 800Mhz FSB world and it wasn't cheap. The sad part is that shortly after I dropped 500 bones on a 3.0Ghz the cheaper 2.4-2.8Ghz models came out.
The moral of the story, I paid too much and donations are nice.hint hint

Flash Guide: Motion Tween (Part 2: Effects) @ KEPTech
Published: Thursday, July 3, 2003 | By: DennisHonestly I haven't really used flash since the days of Ninjalane v1.0 but I can say the program is really cool and the movies are only limited by your imagination.

Crucial PC3200 DDR400Mhz Review @ MonkeyReview
Published: Thursday, July 3, 2003 | By: DennisHere is a short review of some PC3200 memory from Crucial. I should mention that these are CAS3 modules meaning that they probably aren't the best choice for use in that high end gaming system you are planning to build but seem to work great in just about everything else.
"Once we got the memory installed we checked things out in the BIOS, the memory, set to Auto, automatically set itself to run @ 200MHz, with timings of 3-4-4-8 running at 2.7V."
Memory voltage appears to be a little high. -
2 x FX 5900 Reviews @ NordicHardware
Published: Wednesday, July 2, 2003 | By: DennisThe two cards in question are a basic 5900 and a PowerPack! Ultra from Gainward. The two cards are not built the same.
"When it comes to the Gainward card we get even more impressive results. The card runs in 400/850 default and with the enhanced mode it gets jerked up in 440/900 and hold on to your hats now because when we push it to the max we reached as high as 500/1000 MHz. The same frequencies as a 5800 Ultra in other words."
Almost makes me want to break into doing video card reviews, almost.. -
Thermaltake Xaser III V1000A Review @ TheTechLounge
Published: Wednesday, July 2, 2003 | By: Dennis"As I said before, this case is a modified Enermax CS-1018S server case. Thermaltake has made the entire front of the case aluminum and included the Thermaltake HardCano 9 in the top drive bay. The case is very sturdy and very high quality, but the weight is probably more than most could bear."
There is something to be said about having a solid case and solid doesn't always mean heavy. -
Chenming 301KE Aluminum Case Review @ PC Abusers
Published: Wednesday, July 2, 2003 | By: Dennis"Installing hardware is this case is easy and very effortless. The light weight of the chassis makes it easy to move around and position all your gear. The motherboard and power supply went in without a hitch, and had a surprising amount of room despite the size of the case."
Having easy access to your stuff is always an important feature with any case; this limits your exposure to the tore up knuckle syndrome.
btw black text on a black background is hard to read. -
Chenming 301KE Aluminum Case Review @ PimpRig
Published: Wednesday, July 2, 2003 | By: DennisI don't normally post news on pre-modded cases but things might be changing a little in the near future. PimpRig has a review posted of the Chenming 301KE Alu Case.
" Probably the most interesting feature on the back side is the hardware container that is attached directly to the right of the card. In this handy-dandy little box you will find all of the screws and standoffs needed for the case, plus a good deal extra. Is it necessary? No. Is it handy? Most definitely."
This is interesting but only if you don't already have a rather large box FULL of screws and other case hardware.
