Introduction
The time has come for the GeForce GTX 470 series to take on a new face for high speed gaming. These cards have sat in the shadow of the GTX 480, with little respect, for far too long. All of that is about to change with the introduction of the new Gigabyte GTX 470 SOC Edition video card.
Gigabyte has changed the game for the better by redesigned the PCB from the ground up to create one of the fastest factory overclocked GTX 470 with an incredibly silent heatsink. In creating this card Gigabyte has cherry picked some of the best GPU and memory chips and combined them with an incredible power scaling system to complete the ensemble.
In this review we will look at just how much faster this new version is compared to the older GTX 470 reference card, and widely popular GTX 480. Then, just for fun, we'll throw in another factory overclocked card, the GTX 460 1GB Super Overclocked, and see how it matches up.
