After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at

    Card Layout and Features

Here we have the Gigabyte GTX 470 SOC in all its glory. This GTX 470 is sporting the Windforce 3X heatsink that is all aluminum all the way to the fan shroud. Btw this card is as powerful as it looks.
Gigabyte never walks away from a custom PCB without adding a splash of blue. The Gigabyte GTX 470 SOC is one of the longest cards we have tested to date so keep this in mind when dealing with smaller cases.
The size of the GTX 470 SOC is almost the exact length of the GTX 480, but the thickness is much smaller on the GTX 470 SOC.
Now we take a look at how the GTX 470 SOC compares to the GTX 470 reference. As you can tell by the photo the GTX 470 SOC is built on a completely custom PCB and considerably longer than the reference card.
Here is the run down on the digital output for the Gigabyte GTX 470 SOC. With one mini HDMI and 2 x DVI this card is ready for HD gaming.
This model of GTX 470 is capable of being matched up with another GTX 470 graphics card for some dual and even triple SLI gaming action.
