Coming straight out of the benchmark section to the conclusion shows the gaming prowess of the Sapphire Radeon 4670. In today’s game market most games are made for consoles first and then ported over to the PC. This situation makes the gaming industry come out with some very well optimized games that work well on a wide variety of lower end hardware and gives the mid range hardware market some room to breathe when it comes to playing the latest titles.
That is a great place for the Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 to be. While the current game industry model may well hang around for a while there are expectations to what games are enjoyable to play and what ones are not. Crysis is one of only a few games that have came out to push the envelope and that envelope has no mercy on the mid range graphic card segment. The writing is on the wall is that the Radeon HD 4670 glory may stay for a short time, but the gaming industry is going to kick it hard in the chest soon.
This has always been the situation with mid range equipment.
The Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 is no slacker in the gaming arena and for a price of around $80-$95 dollars it is a great budget card for any system.
Moving into the other great area where the Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 will likely excel is the HTPC arena. With its small size, ability to offload Blu-ray DVD playback to the GPU, and numerous connections (HDMI, DVI-I, and VGA) you can see why this is a perfect fit.. The oversized heatsink is also a nice feature in terms of keeping everything as silent and cool as possible.
The last feature is unique to the Radeon 4000 series and is the ability to convert your movie files for free with just a few simple clicks. The process is extremely fast and cuts the conversion time down to seconds per DVD chapter instead of hours using the traditional method.
